I don't think you have to see your team go to the tournament to discuss seeding. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, BillEsq is a Louisville fan, too, so by your measurement he would be able to school you on tournament seed strategy, as you put it.

You get the absurdity of that right? I get that playing in your 3rd tournament this century is super exiting, but try to keep some context.

Mind your own business. By the way, John Calipari basically said my opinion of conference tournaments yesterday. They are just a bad idea, propagated by TV to squeeze out a few more games.

So, let me get this strait because SLU is just playing in its 3rd tournament, I as a fan am somewhat oblivious to NCAA seeding projections? Talk about absurd, if anything you should be taking my advise as it is clear that as a fan you are never cheered for a team that played its conference tournament in March. Here let me assist in your education. There are no bye weeks in major college basketball. You play to win period. If it hurts you to think of a SLU fan educating you - take heart that I'm a Louisville alum and fan. To put this in context, the emotions that you are feeling reading this post is the midmajor Horizon fan in you learning that YOU DO NOT GET WEEKS OFF IN MAJOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL.

Loosing for Seeding is for badminton http://edition.cnn.com/2012/08/01/sport ... n-scandal/

Also i'm a Kentucky boy, if you want to play pick the Calipari quote find someone else, no knock on his coaching ability he has said everything at least once.

Just wondering - how many fans of the potentially new Big East will each of your schools bring to the tourney this week?

I was fully planning on going this year but decided to wait until next year when the tournament I would be going to is being played at MSG.

Calipari would say anything to get noticed. I lived in Lexington...the man had a picture of the house he bought on Richmond Road on the front freakin' page of the Herald-Leader. He's the ultimate attention whore.

I hate conference tournaments, period. That said, the $$$ is too great to pass up. I don't think anybody's going to dump a conference tourney game, but this is a new world of College Hoops.

I agree live in louisville now. If you don't like what Calipari is saying just keep listening... he flip flops on everything.

Steve Jobs used to flip flop on subjects too - Great Men have the ability to flip flop.

Yeah, that's 100% accurate. Seeing major highways in Lexington shut down for his hiring press conference was the ultimate attention whore moment.

You weren't there very long, the state of Kentucky eats and breathes UK. I honestly think the only reason KY didn't fight with the south in the civil war was due to the potential damage a divided nation would have caused to the future basketball program :!:

Unreal (supposedly) ending to the Char-Rich game. Didn't see it myself, but would love to hear from someone that did.
