Creighton names Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, S.J. President

Nebraska native currently associate vice president in the Office of the Executive Vice President at Marquette will be named new President of Creighton University. Anyone at Marquette know anything about him?

It's not a lot, but here's what I've got:

He was an associate vice president, professor in the college of education, and our title IX coordinator. He has done solid work since he was promoted to VP. There were some people who wanted him promoted to president when we were looking but the fact that he had only been working in administration for two years weighed against him. He is familiar with the Jesuit tradition and working in a private school in a major metropolitan area where basketball is king. Solid hire. He won't be easy to replace. Congrats to him as well on the step up the ladder.

He was Father What-a-Waste to the women who attended Creighton while he was there.

I took his philosophy class freshman year. I did very poorly. Mostly because I drank and played video games instead of actually doing the readings and attending class.
