Very good ratings for Butler vs. Indiana, 500k viewers and a 0.3 rating.

Just saw an ad on FS1 for "Inside the Big East" which will be a weekly show about Big East basketball hosted by Kevin Burkhardt. First show will be this Sunday. Even more exposure!

As for the ratings, I get them from awfulannouncing and they are posted weekly. They don't post ratings for Fox network so no idea what the ratings for that game was.

Has anyone else noticed that the big 10 sort of has their own basketball tip off mini marathon today?

They have conference games at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm today on ESPN2. They have another conference game at noon on ESPNU.

Just like everyone else they try to copy our good ideas. This conference has always been a trend setter. We grew larger than anyone now it seems they will all be at 16 when all the new TV contracts run out, we showed that ESPN is where to get the best exposure, we showed that BBall can be a money maker, we have two F5 conferences completely jealous over our conference tournament venue. They all want to be us more than they'll ever admit.

Haven't you heard? The ESPN exposure for the American schools will elevate all of their programs to P5 levels.

Well, it doesn't hurt. Most games they are on ESPNU and ESPN News. I'm glad we are on with FS1 with better crews like Gus and Raftery, Brando, Davis, Wenzel, Bardo, etc. It's like when the NHL went to NBCSN. They get top billing in pre and post game shows, while ESPN will take you to sportscenter and talk Lebron, Tebow and Yankees.

like i've said though- compared to the coverage they got in CUSA- it's 100000% times better now for them. And frankly even for UConn and Cincy- the coverage they get now is much better than the old Big East TV contract.

Look at UConn...
18 conference games...
1 on CBS
1 on ESPN Sat night primetime game of the week
3 on ESPN or ESPN2
4 on ESPN 2
2 on ESPNU
6 on CBSSN
1 TBD

2 years ago- last year with Big East-
4 on ESPN
3 on ESPN 2
4 on ESPNU
7 on Big East Network

so even if the TBD game is on CBSSN-
now 9 on ESPN or ESPN 2 vs 7 before
0 not nationally broadcast vs 7 before
huge difference.

It's really amazing how dreadful the old TV contract was for the old Big East.

Old Big East contract was awful.
Will people actually watch is the question. With the AAC down and irrelevant this year, their ratings are going to plummet. 8-)
