College presidents of the New Big East athletic conference are to assemble in New York City at 11 a.m. eastern time Wednesday to reveal “significant progress” in the ongoing development of a multi-sport conference.

The excitement at Creighton is palatable. I think most of us have been holding off posting here waiting for the moment to actually happen.

Good luck to my fellow Big East brethren in the tournament this weekend! That still seems very strange to say, but has a wonderful ring to it.

So pumped that this is now going to be official! I didn't want to start posting over here until we got the "official" announcement from the university. This is very exciting and seems like a great place to talk hoops.

Hopefully it stays that way even after games start to be played and rivalries are formed!
