Ugly game but I will take a 4 point win (beat the spread). Remember Creighton hasn't played in 10 days....sometimes hard to come off of that big of a gap between games and have your A game.

I lived in Cincinnati for 30 years and worked at Xavier all that time so I need not tell you my feelings toward the Bearcats. Even if they had not played UC I would have cheered for Creighton as part of our family of Catholic Jesuit schools. I was very happy with the win. I heard the Pope was watching?!

FYI, Cronin complained in todays rag that UCs player (forgot his name at the moment) who got hit in the head in the first half was the big reason why UC lost. He basically said he got hammered, there should have been a foul, and from then on out after 3 minutes into the game, he was never into the game. Total BS excuse, but that's typical Cronin. The guy is a d-bag.
