Its official they are paying $1 million exit fee.
Coach Al Mcguire:
"I like seashells and balloons, ribbons and medals, bare feet and wet grass."
"When I'm losing, they call me nuts. When I'm winning, they call me eccentric."
"Queen of victory, pray for us."

More important and somewhat ridiculous, the CAA won't allow GMU to participate in league tournaments for their spring sports. Petty if you asked me. It's not the fault or decision of the student athletes to change leagues.

Petty yes.. but this hasn't been about student athletes at any point. This is about the almighty $ and in this environment totally expected.

Is GMU's move a sign that the A10 expects to lose more schools?

I think so... there are 5 potential A-10 schools rumored to be leaving.

Yep, its Slu/Dayton/Richmond/VCU rumors for the BE and UMass for Am12.

A-10 is also apparently interested in Sienna and Northeastern. I personally read the east coast focus on the fact that they are giving up on Slu.

If you want to see something neat, look at George Mason's board today. They are so happy to be going to the A-10...while many of us can't wait to exit same.

Somewhere Fordham's administration is reacting like this....

The bad thing is. The schools at the bottom (if history holds) won't invest that in basketball which is what needs to happen in most of those bottom tier schools.
