We're going to 12. Now the ACC is locked in place and most likely the AAC is going to be poached by big 12. it may be in Uconn's best interests to join the big east and try and put there football somewhere. The AAC is going to be decent next year, but will lose Louisville, most likely Cinci to the Big 12, and perhaps others. That leaves, Temple, Memphis and.... Uconn has real chance to be the last one standing without a chair when the music stops.

Damn, a guy takes a trip to Europe for a week and all hell breaks loose. I've been saying it from the beginning. Let's get it done.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I like the idea of a 16 team conference. What if we add Slu,Richmond,St.Marys,Gonzaga,San Diego, BYU. Not sure if its an option but would be outstanding. Keep one division and when the east would have to play the west make it on saturday to make the travel not as bad. Dream or maybe possible??

I'm interested to see how Fr. Biondi's resignation at SLU affects the Big East Expansion.

Probably doesn't hurt SLU but most are assuming they were number 11 anyways, that doesn't fix the problem of #12.

Depends on who you ask. Many people think Biondi is the reason SLU didn't get in at 10.

I don't think it matters one way or the other.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

Those people just can't admit Creighton was a better add.

They come from a place I like more. (Not that it is in the discussion I know). I like and respect Creighton a lot myself. They were a solid add.

You really have something against SLU, don't you?

No, but at 10 Creighton was the best add, in my opinion.

I don't trust St. Louis's program, that's true, but I rather root for you to do well because of the Majerus and Jesuit connection. Like I'll say to fans of any potential team, if you're added I'll fully support you in OOC, but right now there's no potential team I'm enamored with. Criticism isn't meant to be a put down, I'll criticize Marquette's resume if the situation calls for it. I do tend to argue against an idea where I see a fallacy or weakness, possibly more so against a side I agree with. Arguing a position is not the same as advocating a position.

That's fair.

I know we've been in leagues together, and SLU's ignorance left them behind. That I can't argue.

Criticism isn't intended to be a putdown is actually a very good way of stating it.
